Grouping and Filtering Data in Reports

In order to get the most out of your Timescale timesheets reports, you can apply a range of tools to sort the data. This includes organizing the data into groups applying filters and adding columns to show additional Jira fields.

Grouping Data 

Grouping data in your reports helps you to structure your information in a meaningful way. The groups are displayed in the report according to Jira hierarchy. 

To group data in a report:

1. Click the Grouping dropdown box to to display a list of possible choices. Select the groups you want to add. 

   • You can group by Project or by User

Filtering Data

For the moment Timescale alows users to filter data by Jira custom select field.

To filter data in a report by Jira Custom Select Fields:

1. Click on the Search Icon

2. Select a Custom Field

3. Select Value for the Custom Field
