Managing Teams

Only people with Jira Administrate permission can become approvers. You can make people such by changing their role to Site Administrator or Trusted Users.

Teams are a core functionality in Timescale. A Timescale team is a group of users that can work together on projects or are set up based on your organization structure. Like group of Developers that report to the same manager.

No matter what way you define a team Timescale allows you to easily manage their time. Using Timescale teams are necessary if you want to track, submit and approve timesheets. Employees can submit their timesheets to any Manager that has indicated in Timescale Settings page he wants to be an approver. Of course those users need to Jira administrative permissions

To create a Timescale Team:

  1. Select Settings Icon and Teams

  2. Click + Add Team Button and give a team name and an unique key for the team.
